RPD Services is a licensed, insured and locally owned heavy duty truck shop with over 75 years of combined experience.  RPD Services provides large-scale engine repair, basic preventive maintenance and fleet management. Our mechanics are cross-trained in all areas of truck repair and specialize in aviation refueler truck maintenance.

Technician Level A

  • 10 years of experience required, unless tech has Associates degree in related field of subject
  • Tech must be able to efficiently complete "A" level classified repairs. 
  • Ability to perform engine overhauls, head inspection and repair.
  • Extended knowledge in use of manufacture-based software is a must (IDSS, lnsite, Alison DOC, ServiceMaxx, JPRO). 
  • Expert level in electrical diagnosis and diagram understanding. 
  • Must be proficient in component function and location. 
  • Well versed in multiple manufactures diagnostics, repair practice, operating systems, and parameters. 
  • Proficient in all aspects of drivability concerns relating, but not limited to; drive axles, transmission (auto/manual) drive shaft, wheels or tires, engine systems, and operation, etc. 
  • Must be proficient in EPA mandated emission control systems. Example, SCR, EGR, and DPF systems. 
  • Expected to be versed inoperation of welding and cutting equipment. 
  • Must posses a CDL for road tests and repair verification. 
  • Technician Level A is expected to perform both Band C tasks if required.

Technician Level B

  • 5 years of experience required. 
  • Versed in engine, transmission, and chassis diagnosis. 
  • Proficient in electrical diagnosis, including lighting systems, chassis/engine harnesses. 
  • Technician Level B must excel in all areas of trailer repair, such as lighting, electrical, brakes, decking, suspension, and wheel end. 
  • Efficient in component R&I Ex. Injectors, turbos, belt and pulley system, water pumps, etc. 
  • Well versed in maintenance and service interval items such as overhead adjustment, wheel end inspection, and cooling system services. 
  • Able to complete PM's and DOT inspections. 
  • Must be able to perform basic welding and exhaust repair. 
  • Having a CDL would be a plus and expected as a goal to advance to level A Technician. 
  • Technician Level B is expected to perform level C tasks if required.

Technician Level C 

  • 1 year of experience required. 
  • Must exhibit efficiency in PM items such as chassis inspection, lube, oil changes, filter services, and transmission services. 
  • Proficient in brake adjustment, lighting repair, brake cans/diaphragms, etc. on both trailers and tractors.
  • Knowledgeable in dry van and box truck roof repair, and able to assist with flooring repair. 
  • Expected to clean shop, oil spills, empty shop garbage, and maintain scrap bin.
  • Technician Level C is expected to complete OJT and execute shop procedure. 

Compensation:
